Machinery that provides power for various agricultural machinery and facilities. Agricultural power machinery mainly includes internal combustion engines and tractors equipped with internal combustion engines, as well as electric motors, wind turbines, water turbines, and various small generator sets. Diesel engines have advantages such as high thermal efficiency, good fuel economy, reliable operation, and good fire safety, and are widely used in agricultural internal combustion engines and tractors. The characteristics of gasoline engines are lightweight, good low-temperature starting performance, and smooth operation. They are mostly used in small agricultural machinery, such as rice transplanters, backpack powered plant protection machinery, and tea picking machines. According to the fuel supply situation in the region, gas engines fueled with natural gas, petroleum associated gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and producer gas can also be used according to local conditions. Diesel and gasoline engines can also be modified to use gas fuels such as coal gas, or converted to dual fuel internal combustion engines that use coal gas and are ignited by diesel as agricultural power machinery.

Electric motors are mostly used to drive various agricultural machinery for fixed or indoor operations, such as agricultural product processing machinery and water pumps, as well as various operating machinery in greenhouses, warehouses, and livestock houses. In areas with hydroelectric or wind resources, using wind turbines and water turbines to drive various fixed operating machinery can save petroleum fuel, and wind turbines equipped with water lifting devices can provide water for human and livestock use in grassland pastoral areas. A small generator set composed of internal combustion engines, wind turbines, or water turbines paired with generators, providing electricity for agricultural production and rural life in remote areas. Solar energy and biogas generated from rural waste materials can also provide electricity through solar power generation devices, biogas generators, and biogas diesel dual fuel generators.

Planting machinery can be divided into three categories based on the different planting objects and technological processes: seeders, planting machines, and seedling planting machines.

The object of planting with a seeder is the seeds of crops or coated seeds made into pellets. It can be divided into three categories according to the sowing method: spreader, drill, and hole seeder. Various types of precision seeders that began to develop in large numbers in the 1950s can precisely control the sowing amount, hole (plant) spacing, and sowing depth. The pneumatic precision seeder, which began to develop in the 1970s, utilizes positive or negative pressure airflow to discharge a row of seeds at certain intervals through its seeder (air suction, air pressure, or air blowing), achieving single seed precision hole sowing. Compared with traditional mechanical seeders, it has the characteristics of precise sowing quantity and no damage to seeds. In addition, there is a mechanical precision seeder. A hanging 6-row intercropping crop seeder with a fertilization device, which can be used for drill and hole sowing of intercropping crops such as soybeans, corn, and sorghum.

The objects planted by the planting machine are seed blocks of crops such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, and onions, as well as seed segments of sugarcane. Due to significant differences in the characteristics and planting requirements of different crop blocks and segments, most planting machines are specialized, commonly used including potato and sugarcane planting machines.

The planting objects of the seedling planter are seedlings of crops such as rice, cotton, tobacco, vegetables, fruit trees, and flowers, as well as seedlings with nutrient bowls or soil. Planting machines are divided into three types: semi mechanized, mechanized, and automated. A semi mechanized seedling planting machine is a machine that completes processes such as trenching, soil covering, and compaction, while the picking and planting of seedlings are done by the planter sitting on the machine. The planting action of the mechanized seedling planting machine is also completed by the machine, but the seedlings are still picked up by the planter and placed into the planting mechanism. The automated seedling planting machine only uses manual labor to load the trays of seedlings (usually those with nutrient bowls) onto the machine's seedling tray frame, and the machine automatically completes all planting processes while moving.

Fertilization machinery is used to apply various chemical fertilizers (granular fertilizer, liquid fertilizer), manure, manure, and compost in the field. It is mainly used to apply base fertilizer in front of cultivated land, while seed fertilizer and topdressing fertilizer are generally applied by fertilization devices attached to seeders and cultivators, respectively. The commonly used fertilization machinery includes manure spreaders, spreader trailers, liquid fertilizer sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, and ammonia strippers.
